Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Part
Time- 24 hours; 7:00pm-7:00am with rotating weekends Labor and
Delivery highlights: · 375 – 400 deliveries per month · Maternal IV
designation in Labor & Delivery · Strong collaborative teamwork of
skilled nursing for challenging antepartum and laboring patients ·
Excellent collaboration and respect with physicians and ancillary
staff Here’s What You Need · H.S. Diploma or equivalent and
employed as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility before
September 1, 2009 (required) · Graduate of an accredited Surgical
Technology Program, Vocational Nurse Program, or completion of a
military training program in surgical technology (required or
preferred depending on background) · Labor and delivery scrub
experience (strongly preferred) · CST – Certified Surgical
Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
(required upon hire) · CST – Certified Surgical Technologist who
was employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare
facility before September 1, 2009 (required upon hire) · CST –
Certified Surgical Technologist with completion of a military
training program in surgical technology (required upon hire) · LVN
– Licensed Vocational Nurse (required upon hire) · BCLS – Basic
Cardiac Life Support certification prior to providing independent
patient care and maintained quarterly (required upon hire) What You
Will Do · Assist in providing peri-operative care for a patient
population that includes Infants, Pediatrics, Adults, and
Geriatrics · Assist with stocking Unit (Rooms and Supplies) ·
Attend Vaginal Deliveries · Preoperatively assist R.N. circulator
in formulating plan of care · Assist as needed in coordinating
patient care peri-operatively and assume responsibility and
accountability for behavior in order to maintain standards for
professional nursing practice · Post-operatively follow proper
procedures for care of instruments, supplies and equipment. Under
supervision, assist RN circulator with post-operative duties ·
Assiss in the delivering of nursing care in a manner that minimizes
the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination.
