Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist
to join our team of rehabilitation experts. In this role, you will
provide specialized speech therapy services within our inpatient
rehabilitation hospitals, aiming to restore and enhance the
communication skills and abilities of patients with various
disorders. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality care in a
supportive and innovative environment, emphasizing comprehensive
treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Evaluate
patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing
abilities and formulate treatment strategies. Develop and implement
individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary
teams. Record, monitor, and update patient progress in response to
therapy. Educate patients and families about communication
strategies and coping mechanisms. Maintain compliance with federal,
state, and local regulations, and adhere to facility protocols.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in
evidence-based therapy practices for speech disorders Ability to
work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team Detail-oriented
in evaluation and documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in Speech-Language
Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language
Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association (ASHA)
