Job Summary and Qualifications Performs quality ultrasound procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist of all ages. Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards, radiation safety guidelines. What you will do in this role: You will compassionately assist and position patients. You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary. You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary. You will release the patient with proper post-procedure instructions. You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment. You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) High School Graduate / GED Registered with ARDMS or registry eligible with ARDMS ( Must comply with ACR) If Registry eligible, must become registered with-in 2 years of graduation from accredited ultrasound program Medical City Las Colinas, built in 1997, is a 100 bed full service, acute-care facility.
