Job Opportunity – Travel RN – Trauma Stepdown – Texas Start Date: September 29, 2025 Location: Denton, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:5 max) | No on-call requirement Highlights: 25-bed Surgical Trauma Stepdown unit in a Level 2 Trauma Center with 90% of inpatients admitted from the Emergency Department Diverse case mix including trauma surgery, orthopedic, bariatric, vascular, neurological, and cardiovascular patients EMR system: Meditech May float to other stepdown service lines such as Progressive Care Unit or Heart and Vascular Unit Strong, experienced team with 44 FTEs supporting a collaborative environment Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 techs Requirements: Current RN license ACLS and BLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale certification required Trauma and/or Orthopedic experience preferred Meditech EMR experience preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced travel nurse looking to join a high-acuity stepdown environment within a busy Level 2 Trauma Center.
