Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Speech Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will lead interventions that help patients regain or improve their ability to speak and communicate effectively, following an illness, injury, or disability. Assess patient speech, language, and communication abilities and deficits. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history. Implement speech therapy interventions effectively and compassionately. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care. Educate patients and families about communication strategies and coping mechanisms. Ensure compliance with all health care regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Strong understanding of speech-related disorders and treatment modalities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work compassionately with patients who have severe communication barriers. Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Capable of handling sensitive information confidentially. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
