Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00-07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery License: Current nursing license Certifications: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring At least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery Description: The unit has 10 labor, delivery, and recovery beds, 5 antepartum rooms, and 2 operating rooms. Core staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse and 4 Registered Nurses on night shifts. Patient ratios typically follow AWHONN staffing standards. A 2:1 patient ratio is standard for labor and delivery and a 4:1 ratio for low-risk antepartum. The unit is equipped with GE monitoring and uses electronic medical records through Meditech and CPN. Candidates with scrub experience and those with C-EFM or RNC-OB certifications are preferred. Common procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, cerclages, and bilateral salpingectomies. The ideal candidate will be upbeat and positive. The dress code requires royal blue scrubs. Weekends and on-call shifts are not required.
