is looking for a Surgery Scheduler -to join our team! -This
position will work and support our Grapevine, TX. location. -

Scheduler do?Responsible for general clinic office functions that
support efficient and effective patient care including patient
registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable
deductibles of applicable, co-insurance and/or co-payments and
scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and procedures.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate for the Surgery Scheduler will have the
following minimum qualifications: -Schedule surgical procedures as
ordered by physicians.Prepare pre-op and surgical paperwork
promptly. Ensure paperwork is submitted to appropriate individuals
and institutions as required.Ensure patients are completely
informed regarding surgery procedures.Facilitate scheduling
pre-operative and/or post-operative appointments.Respond to
patient's inquiries regarding surgery times and preparation before
surgerySchedule post-surgical appointmentsContact insurance
companies for surgery and in office precertificationMaintain supply
of surgery kitsCreate claims in Athena for surgery kits & collect
fee from the patientComplete financial responsibility form, have
the patient sign and scan into the chartCollect surgery deposits
and post in AthenaFile and document all information appropriately
in the patient's EMR chart.
Qualifications:
The essential duties and responsibilities:High school degree or
equivalentMinimum of 3 years of medical office experience required,
with at least 1 year of scheduling surgical procedures. - Excellent
customer service skills, computer skills, CPT and ICD-10 coding,
and knowledge of medical terminology required. - - Familiarity with
medical billing, collection procedures and prior experience with
EMR computer applications preferred.Bilingual in English/Spanish
preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are
