The Data Risk Operational Risk Senior Officer VP will be responsible for identifying, anticipating, challenging, and mitigating risks that could affect business objectives, and minimizing operational risk events and losses in assigned Enterprise Operations entities. This position will also interface with teams to align and coordinate regional legal entity focused data governance activities, principles, policy, practices, and standards.Role Overview:Working with colleagues in Risk, as well as technology, business and other control functions, the individual will be responsible for monitoring and challenging Citi functions and businesses (e.g., ICG, Consumer) globally in all aspects of Data Management policies, standards, practices.The candidate will have independent oversight of ongoing Data Management Operational Risk Management activities.Key Responsibilities:This role requires an individual who is inquisitive, comfortable with ambiguity, willing to learn, and able to develop trusting relationships at all levels to support:

• Risk identification and control environment challenge by understanding business requirements and controls efficacy.
• Sound program management for data programs/initiatives for execution (e.g., deliverables on time, risk identification, process for milestone reporting and changes)
• Develop expertise on data-related best practices and standards, operational risk principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Challenges to data architecture, strategy, and planning on an enterprise level
• Assess and challenge adherence with policies/standards (e.g., data quality) and adoption of data governance capabilities and initiatives with the data governance program.
• Drafting of challenge scope documents, assessment findings, and risk discussions with the client
• Facilitate consistent adoption of data principles, policies, standards, and frameworks across Operational Risk Management.
• Participate in data architecture, governance meetings, workshops and provide feedback for new and updated standards and processes.
• Help assess the current state of data processes and identify areas of need.
• Maintain library of artifacts that support assessmentsKnowledge / Experience:This role requires a thoughtful individual who is comfortable working with the business and who has a solid understanding of technology, in a highly complex and regulated environment. Experience in a relevant or complementary area will be considered to include: fintech, insurance, banking, information technology, auditing, business analysis, consulting or other related operational area that supports transformation.     • Experience in data modeling, data management, IT development, business analysis, operational risk, or audit a plus.
    • Experience developing or analyzing taxonomies and ontologies, a plus
    • Previous experience as a business analyst or consultant, a plus
    • Knowledge of financial, compliance, regulatory reporting and end user computing, a plus
    • Experience reviewing and applying relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, a plusEducation:
