Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer (QE) for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX supporting the HIMARS / M270 AME program. The position requires previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the development and production of manufactured and procured products. Individual should be a self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal direction in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Role includes serving as Facilitator of Corrective Action Board meetings and performing statistical analysis to enhance data driven decision making.

The selected candidate will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, suppliers, and customer to ensure quality standards are implemented and being met throughout the production process. The selected candidate will also analyze program and quality process performance, identify adverse trends, understand / identify risks, and drive effective corrective action as well as overall process improvements.

Role will require monitoring performance of suppliers (internal and external), providing support for root cause and corrective / preventative actions, supporting supplier requests tied to program , participating in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, participate in drawing / process reviews for proper design assurance, providing technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters, auditing program and suppliers for conformance to , partnering with Program Management and IPT to provide proactive issue identification, causal analysis, mitigation and preventive action (overall health monitoring of Program), and working closely with the Customer to ensure adequate acceptance of product.

Quality Engineers at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. In a culture of continuous improvement our department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency. Working with an integrated team, which includes customer, suppliers and other functional personnel, non-conformances are identified, trended, and resolved in a timely manner.

As a vital member of the team, a Quality Engineer at Missiles and Fire Control evaluates the designs, both electrical and mechanical, to ensure a producible product is being proposed with processes in place for a smooth production flow.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical engineering degree from an accredited college in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

Must have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the development and production of manufactured and procured products

Non-conformance processing experience including control, disposition, root cause analysis, and development of corrective / preventative actions (e.g., Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), Corrective And Preventative Action (CAPA), etc.).

Previous experience creating, giving, and facilitating presentations to various stakeholders

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and all other stakeholders

Ability to travel (Desired Skills:
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

SAP / ERP experience

Familiarity with Production Operations (e.g., manufacturing and inspection processes / techniques)

Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management

Experience working with Government customers

Experience with working with suppliers

Tableau experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
