Purpose of JobWe are seeking a hardworking and talented Bank Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance Lead.

Hybrid schedules available for our Plano, TX San Antonio, TX, or Charlotte, NC offices.

The Bank Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance Advisor Lead will own the performance, independent validation, and improvement of external reporting data integrity. This entails conducting data quality testing over external reports submitted to Banking Regulators for the purposes of ensuring the accuracy and conformance with regulatory instructions. The Bank Regulatory Reporting QA function partners with key customers to identify areas of regulatory reporting improvements, including identifying process enhancements.

This individual leads the development and implementation of quality assurance activities around regulatory reports which are aimed at mitigating the risk of external reporting errors through additional independent review and validation. In addition, this role requires experience in regulatory audit of banks and financial institutions, or equivalent experience in consulting of FRB reporting process. Leveraging this experience, the lead makes recommendations on process improvements utilizing best practices and ensures coaching and training resources meet quality objectives.   • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.

  • Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
  • Uses expert knowledge to provide guidance in the design, assessment, implementation and/or administration of highly complex quality assurance/control programs, practices and policies.
  • Identifies and evaluates quality standards, measurements, and process improvements to ensure effective and efficient business solutions.
  • Designs, directs, and executes quality assurance/control programs, and provides guidance, oversight, and communication on quality program decisions.
  • Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts of quality methods and tools to identify, analyze, improve, and implement business solutions.
  • Recommends and facilitates policy and procedural changes. Develops quality standards and ensures alignment with internal practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluates and oversees success measurements. Manages the development and implementation of training programs and materials to meet quality requirements, ensure compliance with legal standards, and align with CoSA/LOB and Enterprise strategy.
  • Consults with business stakeholders and advises senior management on review results, trends, studies, and initiatives, and recommends courses of action.
  • Serves as a primary resource for escalated issues of an unusual nature and may provide coaching to team members as needed.When you apply for this position, you will be required to answer some initial questions.     • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline: 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
    • Minimum of 8 years progressive operations or process experience.
    • 4 years of quality assurance, experience in regulatory reporting in the financial services industry.
    • Expert knowledge and experience in analyzing data, identifying trends, and influencing decisions on recommended strategies to remedy issues.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory laws and best practices.Preferred Qualifications
      • Banking industry experience, strongly desired.
      • Bank Regulatory reporting experience (Call report, FR 2900, FR 2644, etc.), strongly desired.
      • CPA designation
      • Experience in regulatory reporting and financial services industry, strongly desired.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
